YES……I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He died on the cross for my sins. I want to receive Him into my life as my Lord and Saviour……..
Here’s what you need to do to be saved (“born again”);
Speaking to God from your heart;
ADMIT that you are a sinner.
REPENT of your sins.
BE WILLING to turn from your sins.
BELIEVE that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and that He rose from the dead.
ASK Jesus to come into your life as your Lord and Saviour.
Below is a simple prayer that you can use to receive Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and Saviour. Unless it comes sincerely from your heart, simply speaking out the words of this prayer (or any prayer) will NOT save you. Once again - Unless it comes sincerely from your heart, simply speaking out the words of this prayer (or any prayer) will NOT save you. God looks at the heart, what matters is the attitude of your heart - if your prayer is sincerely from your heart to God, God will hear!
So,
Do you admit that you are a sinner in need of God’s forgiveness?
Are you willing to repent and turn from your sins?
Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died on the cross for your sins, and that He rose from the dead? (To believe means to “commit” yourself to Christ, to “surrender” to Him. Believing is your response to God’s offer of mercy, love and forgiveness.)
Are you ready to receive Jesus into your heart and life, and to trust and follow Him as your Lord and Saviour?
If you have answered YES to all of these questions, then we encourage you to pray a prayer sincerely from your heart now, something like this…….
If you sincerely prayed this prayer and asked Jesus Christ to come into your life, do you know what He has given you?
When you receive Christ, you are born into God’s family through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit, who indwells every believer……this is called regeneration or “new birth”.
The Bible teaches that a person who is born again has a changed will, changed affections, changed objectives for living, changed disposition, new purpose. That person receives a new nature and a new heart. They become a “new creation.”
What now?
If you have received Christ into your life this is just the beginning of a wonderful new relationship for you. To deepen this relationship you should:
Read your Bible every day. (The gospel of John is a good place to start)
Talk to God in prayer each day. (as you would to a good friend)
Join a local church where The Bible is taught.
Tell others about Jesus Christ.
Demonstrate your new life in Christ by your love and concern for others.
